John, If I'm thinking correctly you should be able to "borrow" the hand mike from the Scout to use with the O-VI for the time being until you can procure another mike. (I'm assuming here that unless

A little cleaning of the switch contacts with DeOxit ought to fix the "bad" mike switch. Most mikes only need 2 to 4 screws removed to be inside. Mike switches often can be replaced with slide switch
