The Marshall mic won't work without an external preamp - I believe it requires +48V phantom, not to mention possible EQ requirements. I use a Marshall but have a Behringer VX-2000 and parametric EQ t

I find very good results using a Sennheiser computer headset with condenser mic. -12dB equalisation provided by Orion together with LF rolloff set at 200Hz seems to suit this arrangement well. At lea
