I have a friend with a Triton IV. On 10 Meters, the lights dim and and his power supply protests when he goes key down, but there is no output.. The rest of the bands seem to be fine. Any suggestions

I have a similar problem with mine. I found that the power supply may be marginal (it's a 120 volt supply on a 230-120 volt transformer). I also found that when I connected the antenna jack to a dumm

Dunno the problem but would suggest checking to make sure the ALC light is working on other bands. If the ALC doesn't work (usually because of bad diodes) then the PA can oscillate. If this happens,
