Hi Paolo, I have had 2 Omni Vs, but I have not had your problem. I think there may be a part or solder joint in the crystal Y3 circuitry on the Xtal Osc-LO Mixer board that is bad sometimes. Or maybe

My Omni V had the 40 meter crystal go bad. I adjusted the trimmer on the 40 meter crystal and then it started working, but was 2 khz off. I then used my Omni V chip to correct the frequency display t

You say that when you open the case the problems goes away. Check to see if one of the eight screws that holt the case on is touching a wire. The tightening of the screws seem to be causing the probl
