If you dont mind losing the auto select function, then I see no reason why THAT would not work. I rather liked that function but not everyone would, I guess. Why do you want to put the 1.9 KHz filter

Check how they are plugged in. On mine the labels should be readable from the back of the radio. If inserted the wrong way the filter is bypassed. Jeff, W4DD _________________________________________
