Bob, Do all the com port parameters in HRD (speed, parity, etc.) agree with the parameters for the radio? (57600, 8-N-1, handshake, handshake) Does the com port number in HRD agree with the port numb

Bob, do you have a COM port? if not use a COM Port to USB cable. set the connection speed to whatever COM port you get HRD to recognize, Baud rate to 57600, Data bits 8, Parity NONE, Stop bits 2, RTS

In any case, when using a usb/serial adapter there are a few things to remember. Windows will not assign a (virtual) com port number to a usb port until a usb device is plugged in and recognized by W

if one is using Serial to USB (and vice versa) connections with the Orion, one should see NO delay at all if the computer is relatively fast. I have seen NO delays except when I had both Orions hooke
