Yes. You just have to make sure the relay in rig will handle the voltage and current required by the amp. If not, you need to put a relay between the rig and amp. Mark _______________________________

Well, it depends on the specific radio and amp. As I mentioned yesterday, the Argo V has no provision for amp control, so unless you're interested in making mods (count me out of that), you'll need a

After looking for voltage spikes on an oscilloscope, I hooked keying for an Ameritron tube amp directly to the relay output on both my Omni VI+ and Orion II. Both have keyed it without a glitch, and

I'm using the Omni VII and the Tokoyo Hi Power solid state linear AmplifierHL 1.5KFX I did not use any special cable between them. No relays or anything else. Its been working fine for about 6 months

Many brands other than Ten-Tec have an ALC output on the amplifier, which is intended to connect to an ALC input on the exciter (transceiver). This ALC is an attempt to prevent overdrive of the PA.
