I side with Wes N5WA on this issue - direct coax feed does the trick. Adding reactances along the way just complicates everything, and further limits the utility of the antenna. Using direct feed on

Interesting observation: Listened on 160 meters at mid-day I noticed S-8 electric fence pulses. I checked the front to back on my Beverages to determine the origination direction and was southwest. T
