I am sorry for a late reply but I was in Tuscany for a week. Met Carlo, I5JVA www.antenna.it and saw monstrous quads superbly mechanically designed. Really no need as there is plenty of data availabl

This seems to be beloved subject of MW DX community! W8JI claims: I wonder why one needs 12,6 nV sensitivity up to 50 MHz? Using wrong oversensitive semiconductors for GHz range? G3RPB explained the

W8JI: I wonder if God has spared Georgia of galactic noise? If not, 10 uV sensitivity is more then enough for 160m. This leaves plenty of room for a good input filtering permitting much greater input

IMD are caused by third order products! 10 dB attenuator would reduce IMD by 30 dB. 10 dB of excesive gain would increase IMD by 30 dB... I am still waiting for the measurements of 160m night signal

I know that USA suffer from NIH (noz invented here) symptomps but I'd expect UK expats to know about an excellent SM Linux radio project. Demands on 2 m low noise band with high gain antennas are way
