My solution to this, Steve, is to insert a high pass filter between the antenna and the preamp. The one I use has at least 40 dB rejection from 1.6 MHz downwards. Then not only is the preamp protect

I concur with Greg's recommendation. My location is about 2 km from a 10 LW BC station on 1620 kHz. Without the LPF I have serious intermod with my PP 2N5109 preamp. Good luck. 73 Don K5AQ
