I use a DJI Mavic Air 2 (the older version of the Air2S), which can be had for less than $450 used.  There are several on eBay right now that even include extra batteries.  It works great, is stable

A vertical on a slope (or cliff) means that the dirt in the far field isn't actually all there.  Air is a lot less lossy than dirt. It's the takeoff angle that gets the benefit. Dave   AB7E But then
