Paint can and bottle opener. Opening beer. OR maybe it could be slid over tubing and used to get extra "bite" to get bent tubing to turn/pull apart. Cheers, Redd - AI2N ______________________________

Hi Gavin. I put up 40' of 1-7/8" + 2" aluminum tubing and hooked a 40' wire to the top, trimming to get the SWR where I wanted it (not too much trimming was needed; sorry, but I didn't measure). 60 s

I have used pennant antennas scaled to approximately 70% (10' x 20-1/2')and 85% (12' x 25')of the "approved" 14' x 29' version. They are directional but have low outputs. Use of a preamp is mandatory

My full-sized flags (14' x 29', bottom wires 6' above ground) seem to work well on both 40 and 30 meters. Also good on 80, so-so on 160. YMMV. 73, Redd - AI2N ________________________________________

I had similar problems with two of these switches a while ago. I called A-D; they replaced them free and paid the shipping both ways. 73, Redd - AI2N _______________________________________________ _

Hi all. What is the "going rate" one should expect to pay for used Rohn 25G tower sections at your friendly neighborhood hamfest? And yes, I know that "Caveat Emptor" applies. Please respond off-list

I have some Belden 8213 (RG-11, fairly low loss 75 ohm). Could this coax be used for stubs in a 50 ohm system? 73, Redd - AI2N _______________________________________________ ________________________

I had the same problem for about two years. I used a Timewave ANC-4 (and a 6' tall aluminum "noise" antenna near the neighbor's house) to minimize the noise on 160-40 meters. It worked pretty well. H
