I guess we all have some odd type of soldering iron, I have a large iron that uses a chemical cartridge that is activated by a plunger or other impact device, it gets hot enough to solder a #6 cable

Gene, K7NV has a web site and builds PP motors for the owners or for resale, his site has a lot of info on how to take these PP motors apart, rebuild them or lube them for service. Hope this helps 73
