That is basically how I lift my 2 7/8 x 1/4 x 20 ft mast. I use an auto scissor jack. The top of the jack is the type that has a slot in it. A vertical plate is bolted to the mast with 2 muffler clam

Gary, I had a similar lightening strike nearby which zapped my 2800. The reed switch, which makes pulses,was welded. When that happens the motor will not turn as I recall. Factory fixed it quickly. 7

Don. there was an extensive discussion of this on www.eham.net .It was very negative about the plasma tv's. I believe it discussed the hf interference, image burn in, and limited life of the screens.
