An 89' tower only 14' from the property line !! He must have very accomodating neighbors. I had a W-51 with a PRO-57A and 402BA, along with a modified Hy-Tower for 80. Did pretty well with that setup

My Hy-Tower folded over at the base. Made assembly a snap, also when the hurricane came the Hy-Tower went down !! It made a super 80 mtr antenna, broke the Heard Island pileup on 75 SSB from Boston.

That just shows the failings of SS Amps. A 1.3:1 SWR equates to 1.7% reflected power. Any Amp that can't handle that has no place in my shack. As for tube amps, just shows the benefits of a tuneable
