software. This leads me to believe you are operating the station via the Internet. If true, then I really don't think any Q's derived from this scheme will count for any ARRL DX Award and probably n
An 89' tower only 14' from the property line !! He must have very accomodating neighbors. I had a W-51 with a PRO-57A and 402BA, along with a modified Hy-Tower for 80. Did pretty well with that setup
I use RG-58X for short jumpers. Whose Crimp Connectors would you recommend I use ? Tnx, Dick, W1KSZ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Tow
you want to use it on 160. I have a Waller Flag in the works, looking forward to seeing how it plays versus the Pennant I have up. 73, Dick, W1KSZ _______________________________________________ ___

My Hy-Tower folded over at the base. Made assembly a snap, also when the hurricane came the Hy-Tower went down !! It made a super 80 mtr antenna, broke the Heard Island pileup on 75 SSB from Boston.
One thought, there are still available Parallel Port switches (DB-25 connectors). Hand operated yes, primitive, but effective. 73, Dick, W1KSZ _______________________________________________ ________

I have 8 never used Grounding Kits for Coaxial Cable (their title), that will fit anything from 1/2" up. Made by Radio Frequency Systems (but look a lot like Andrew). I posted them here some time ago
That just shows the failings of SS Amps. A 1.3:1 SWR equates to 1.7% reflected power. Any Amp that can't handle that has no place in my shack. As for tube amps, just shows the benefits of a tuneable
I would be curious to see how these LDMOS devices perform. Has anyone any data on the M2 boxes they sell for 6 and 2 ? An HF Amp, using one or two of these devices would be very interesting. 73, Dick
The point I responded to was the statement that some amps fold-back with very low SWR's. Clearly the use of an antenna tuner was not included. The fact that most (not all) SS Amps have Automatic Ante
Jerry Letvin would agree with you, he used the same term in a televised broadcast in the early 60's. The FCC did not react. 73, Dick, W1KSZ _______________________________________________ ___________
Just curious, never used a Hazer, but, how do you deal with the guy wires ?? 73, Dick, W1KSZ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk
That just makes a better reason to have a crank-up/tilt-over. More money but a lot safer. Tnx, Dick, W1KSZ _______________________________________________ ____________________________________________
