- We used NVIS antennas in Viet Nam to communicate with the A teams...and they ranged from 2 to 20 foot above ground...the base stations were generally not in the jungle....worked great out to about 50

- The B&W antenna is extensively used by the military in the ALE operations where diverse frequency sounding and scanning is utilized..generally signal strength is not an issue and a 3 to 5 db loss not
