- I think that using a "backstay" and side cables is dangerous. I use the US Tower raising fixture that is an A frame so that it is stable and the two front legs are in compression. Also the 2500 winch

- Peter, the Mast is just over 2 inches OD so it is non standard. I suggest that you bolt an arm onto the tower at the top and cantalever out aways for the inverted v George KI6CG ki6cg@arrl.net ______
