The mast is VERY close to the crossover straps that connect the front and rear driven element. If the straps are not just right, they short to each other and to the mast. 73 Jim W7RY ________________

I have tried an aftermarket balun on my TH7. It didn't work very well. I had high SWR on most bands. Changed nothing but the balun and everything came into specification. I use a BN-86 and run 1500 w

I agree Gerald, N connectors have been in use for years around my shack and tower with no issues. The only problem with 7/16 is the availability and price of them for RG-8 or other flexible cable. N

The reason these will not work is because your are shooting a WEIGHTED tennis ball with a string attached! It take much more power than this to launch such a ball. My CVS-19 will shoot a bare tennis
