In my case, I routed the coax about 3 feet above the beam, with just enough length for 180 degree rotation either side from north. I had to experiment to find the right length where the coax did not

I guest operated a few times at a station which had that particular switch. I found it to be very difficult to get PL-259 connectors on and off. There was not enough room between the SO-238 jacks. P

Clive, The O-Ring goes on the female connector, with the rubber facing the male connector. After the male connector is installed, the O-ring is then tightened up against the end of the male connector

Have you checked the limit switch? Check it with an ohmmeter and make sure it's not open. If it's open, try shorting across the limit switch terminals temporarily and see if it turns. --Kirk K4RO On

Hi Pete, I have had good experience with the DX Engineering patented PL-259 connectors. Unlike some other crimp connectors that I have purchased elsewhere, the build quality has been very consistent.
