Make sure all Xc values are negative. Xl and R are positive numbers. Perhaps the concept should be "self resonance is over rated". We all spend a lot of time to achieve resonance more or less by adju

Phil, if the rotator is located at the first guy level, the pier pin base or concrete base is ok. In this case, you might consider using the six guy torq assembly at the first guy level to help absor

Mike, a simple L network will match a huge range of impedances. If you can characterize the R +-j at the end of your gamma no doubt you will be able match it with one of the four available L configur

Rick has the answer. Fishing the center conductor through the opening in the shield is easier if you provide a few inches of extra length and push the shield up the coax so it increases diameter a bi

Jim, Pasternack has N, HN, LC, SC and 7/16DIN connectors for RG218. Think of RG218 as a very heavy duty version of RG213/U. Due to the solid dielectric, it is a tad on the stiff side but at one time

Dick, the ohm meter test is d.c. only but it will detect a shorted or open cable. The loss has to be determined with real r.f.. Starting with say, 100 watts, how much power is present at the end? Com
