Where does your MFJ Antenna Analyzer tell you it IS resonating? Try a loading coil, say 8 or 10 turns of 2" diameter, and if things get better, that would tell you whether you need the stinger or not

The HyTower, in addition to the 77 radials, has a ground system of 6 ground rods, connected by #6 copper cadwelded to the rods, ending at the lower legs, and tied into the radial plate (home-made.) T
