The RCS-4 uses several .01 uF disk caps in parallel for DC blocking on both ends. If you run miss matched antennas, be careful of your current. Other than that, I had one that I used and ran RTTY con
You have to pay for it. Anything the TIA/EIA puts out, they sell. For probably $50.00 you could order it. 73 Jim W7RY _______________________________________________ _________________________________
I would put some #2AWG tinned solid in the foundation and not rely on the rebar. I have used a clamp type unit to clamp the copper strap to the ground rod. If it's lightning your concerned with, I wo

Pretty hard to get noise from a AC wall wart. It's only a transformer. That's it! If it was a DC switching wart, then you would have a point. 73 Jim W7RY _____________________________________________
Agreed Roger! They work well in any type of soil or rock. The theory is to dissipate the strike energy to as much earth as possible. Radials, with properly spaced ground rods are a good way to go! 73
The problem is that strap can decay and degrade over time directly in some types of earth AND As you have pointed out, connection to strap is problematic at best unless it is also welded (brazed usin

I had a LP-100. Sold it and bought another Array Solutions. Didn't like how the peak reading worked. And it was difficult to tune an amplifier with it. For my use, the Array was better for this. 73 J
There is some info here on static dissipation for repeaters. http://www.repeater-builder.com/rbtip/ You'll have to dig for it. They also have a mailing list you may want to sign up for. 73 Jim W7RY _
Bad design. (I had one). Only bolts onto one leg. Better design is a side mount that bolts to 2 legs. MUCH less stress on the tower legs. 73 Jim W7RY _______________________________________________ _
