Where does it end??? My neighbors house next door is for sale. Should I take my tower and antennas down so they could possiblty get more for it. Could my neighbors get more for their house if I mayb
This may be a dumb question, but why can't they seal the top of the tower section so the rain doesn't go into it? If the water can't get into the tower section, seems like that would eliminate a lot
How true!! I had a Gotham 2 element quad up for about 5 years till the wind took the antenna and mast down. Paid $27.50 for it. Oh yeah, I know, aluminum spreaders, etc, won't work, but it did work.
Anyone remember what the original question was in this thread? Tom W7WHY _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTa
Hi Jim Well, back in the late 60's or early 70's I bought a Gotham quad for $27.50 plus shipping. It had the aluminum spreaders and of course now now with modeling and all, everyone says that won't
Hi Bill I also had one of those TB-3 Hornet tri-banders (same as the Swan) I remember the ad in QST--"TB-3 tri-bander. $55.00. $5.00 down--$5.00 per month. Just clip out the coupon and mail." Sent in
True, and galvanized electric fence wire won't last much longer. I put a bunch of it under a 40 meter vertical and it turned into a bunch of rust in a few years. 73 Tom W7WHY ________________________
There is a campground about 12 miles north of Coos Bay, and right where you turn to go into the campground, there are some high tension wires that cross the entrance. Every time I drive under these,

Hi Roger I am trying to put up a new phased vertical array for 40 meters. The 84 and 71 degree lengths are the ones in the Low Band DX'ing book. According to the directions, 84 and 71 degrees will gi
Hi Chris Yes and yes. The antennas are ~33 foot aluminum vertical elements with LOTS of radials under each one (probably anywhere from 40-50 under each one, full length. Tom W7WHY ___________________

Hi Doug et al The worst near miss I ever saw was on a 30 foot tower. We were installing a TH-6 on the tower and the owner had a climbing belt, and one guy who went up to help had a rope through his b
