Guys, I hope this is an acceptable question for this forum. I would like some feedback on a 40/80meter trapped dipole. I have thought about making some coax traps and just never seem to get around to

I've had good luck over the years with 80/40m trap dipoles made from 40m W2AU traps and W2AU 1:1 center balun. Used them 15' to 65' off the ground with reasonable results. Additionally, can generally

A simple solution is to make a 100 ft centerfed dipole using a Ladderline Feedline and balanced tuner. This can also be used on ALL HF bands where it will act as various types of Long Wire antennas.

A simpler solution is to use the G5RV with 102 feet overall. It's smaller and has a reasonable match to 50 Ohms on both 80 and 40 meters. 73, Joe, W1JR List Sponsored by AN Wireless: AN Wireless hand

This is the antenna I started with, it works great if you wish to work anyone. (no one in particular) The number of lobes and nulls vary from band to band, see ARRL handbooks. To work distant skeds o

Hi Willie, Not necessarily so! At my prior QTH I had 3 G5RV slopers with 102 feet overall (on the flat top) and about 30 or so feet of 300 Ohm twinlead feeding a 1:1 (W1JR style) current balun to an
