Bill, As you know the aluminum is pretty shiny when it is first installed but it dulls after being up for awhile. That is one consolation that you might tell the customer. I would probably try Krylon

For aluminum, anodizing is great as a finish since it does not create problems with part fitment as there is no coating to deal with. But, as mentioned below, it is non-conductive so would need abras
