How much play (gap) should there be between leg and sleeve of sections? I have picked up some used tower sections (looks like Rohn 25 design) which dont want to fit neatly inside the other on the gro

I now believe it is a Rohn 45 not a 25. It could well be they were bolted too tight before. They just don't fit easily (even with a bit of force). That's why I was thinking of opening up the sleeve (

ROHN is very specific about NOT drilling out bolt holes due to too much galvanizing, or any other method that will remove galvanizing. We use taper pin punches to open up bolt holes. For a tower leg
