Gentleman, ( and Ladies), I have a GAP Voyager 20-160 vertical up, had it about 2 years now. It really outperforms my 135' open wire fed dipole @ 40', past 1500 miles, ( 80, 40 meters) and I enjoy it

All the GAPs are really center-fed, and the "radials" at the base are really just end loading the bottom radiator section; there's separate top loading for the upper radiator section. Try adding more

I have the Challenger Model...just 3 radials, actually trimmed one or two slightly shorter, and it works quite well on 40 meters as a center fed 1/4 wave vertical dipole. It is mounted over the salt
