Visible "conductor are oxidized, stained or tarnished" is bad news, highly suspect remaining moisture within. Moisture within any feedline is trouble. Thanks n 73, James ki5dq On Saturday, July 24, 2

Hi John, Moisture within any feedline is trouble - moisture will cause corrosion / oxidization. These conditions will build resistance / impedance problems within feedlines / terminations. At higher

I've heard, as a rule of thumb, that you can try cutting off one foot on each end for each year the coax was exposed to the elements, and see if you can get down to clean. 73, Pete N4ZR Check out the

K5XM has air dielectric coax, not foam like LDF7, so I am not sure what good cutting off a foot would do. John KK9A I've heard, as a rule of thumb, that you can try cutting off one foot on each end f
