Try looking for the wire they use for low voltage outdoor lights. The type you put on decks and along walks. Its cheap and rugged. I have also used 10-3w/g for a LONG rotor run for high current prop

Better double check the prices in your area. In March of last year, I bought a 250 ft roll of 12/2 (interior grade, not UF [Underground Feeder] ) for $32. The same roll is now $72 at Lowes. Of course
