Rich, There are a number of wire marking scheams from tags to Label maker . I use the label maker for my all my hardline 13 runs and also for the RG213/214 . theses are all inside WX boxes not expose

stamped metal tags only way i go...  no fading to sunlight, no deterioration .. several choices,,  a full set of letters and numbers in aluminum and selectable diameter o.d. see mcmaster carr stamped

There are so many options. At my station I just mark the cables and or the connectors using a fine tip oil based paint pen. The paint has held up well for me on everything except for Teflon coax. In
