- 45-G is 1' 4 3/4" between centers for the legs while 55-G is listed as 1' 5" so they should not match up directly. 45-G legs are constructed of 14 Ga tubing while 55-G is 11 ga. Both should be 1 1/2

- I know they will not fit together. And even if you could force them together, you would not have a structurally sound union. Also, I wouldn't ever try because there are plenty of 55G sections availab
