Your last idea is the best. You have to have the tower behind the Yagi and have the feed coax exit off the back of the boom. You have to mount it by attaching the back of the boom to the tower, which

Yes, the more I've thought about it, the better it sounds. Did you miss that this is a LONG BOOM Yagi? It's 22 ft. I need lots of dB to get to that repeater. Don't think I can use this method. :) Tha

I would mount it to the horizontal mast section, but with 2 plates with slots to allow aiming. The plate on the boom mounted as you would for horizontal orientation, plate on mast flat on top of hori

You could do it as a swing arm mounted off the face of the tower. IE any side with two legs, rather than just one although the one would give you more rotation. Variations of this can be used for one
