- Nope. I'm 99% sure they all had DC motors. I think the new ones (which I have on of) a higher torque rating. I use 100 feet of 2 conductor #18 zip cord for the motor on mine. For the control I use 2

- My 2800 which I purchased in 1998 is a RC-2800P-A which is probably from a previous product. However, my control box is stamped "DC" on the underside and my manual/instructions were for a DC motor. D
