I participated in a group buy of Polygon Rod in the late 1980s. Quite a learning curve. Even UV stabilized is only good for about 10 years - then needs replaced. Difficult to work with. I had one Pol

Same story from W5LMH who, after taking down a rotating tower after some years found the polygon rod practically disintegrated. Made me a non-believer in polygon rod.. 73, Steve, WD8NPL I participate

Ron, I was involved in a group buy back in the 1980s and installed a number of towers with them and the appropriate Preformed Line Preformed Guy Grips. Initially the 6 ft. rolls ( just some in my cas

I have a mix of Polygon and Philly. The 3/8" Polygon is from one of the early group buys, probably from the mid 90's. The surface of the Polygon seems a little rough, but I've been assuming the stren

HI Steve: I would be concerned. Be careful. Your rod is way past its life span. Call Polygon Rod - they'll tell you - 10 years life - then replace. 73 Tim K3LR I have a mix of Polygon and Philly. The

Nice update. The Polygon Rod is scary stuff, I recall reading posts about it breaking new when unrolling. A guy break on the tower could be quite expensive or even worse so I am glad that you switche

John, IMHO PhillyStran has its place in tower installations BUT you must consider the site for abrasion. It and polyrod will fail in that invroment. Even EHS 3/16 , ¼ and 5/16 will fail under fallen

Hello Ron: I think you are making a good choice with Phillystran for your tower installation. It is critical you follow all of the Phillystran manufacture instructions when you install it. The EHS co
