I have done both the slingshot and the tennis ball shooter: The tennis ball shooter is heads up ahead as compared to the slingshot. More accurate and farther/higher distance. No comparison. Mike, K5U

I just used a tennis ball laucher and easily shot over 70' hardwoods in NC. The problem wasn't the height, but rather, trying to avoid the rope getting stuck between the crotches of fine branches....

That is an excellent point. Another problem is that the rope, when being slid over a limb, will damage the bark on the limb when pulling the rope up or down. No big problem, until the pitch and bark
