I researched the subject of ground radials before installing my big 43 foot vertical, and concluded the the lossy earth will detune them. Many short radials, beats a few long ones. For example, 30, 3

If ground-mounted, put down as many radials as you can, as long as you can make them. Radials upon the ground surface do NOT need to be 'resonant' on any frequency. Good luck Don N8DE _______________
