How does one weatherproof the connector going into the Yaesu G1000DXA rotor? It has a boot covering for the connector, but no obviously good place to apply covering to protect both the cable, connect

My Yaesu G-2800 rotators came with a boot attached to the cable. After tightening the connector I slipped the boot on and then applied silicone sealant around the boot, rotator and cable. I had two o
