Rob, If you contemplate the need to stand on top of the tower, you certainly want to go with the flat AG4. You'll need a thrust bearing with the AG4 while it's not necessary with the AG2. Something I

Rob - I've successfully used the flat top sections for over 30 years with various antenna/mast combinations. I'm currently using a 45AG4 on my 120ft tower to turn a Force 12 Magnum 240N 40-meter beam

Hello Rob I would and use the 45AG4.True about the bracing but that does not seem to effect the strength of it, on mine any way. You will need a thust bearing and it sure is easy to stand on! The 45A
