Was a long time ago, but I took my R5 vertical plus other tubing to Estonia in a golf bag cover. No questions asked at any point. The U.S. customs man asked me on my return if I had a good game. 73 D

It depends where you are going. the airlines don't care what you pack in your suitcase or golf bag. When I go to Africa to play radio I can take 2 bags that weigh 50 pounds each and 3rd one that is 7

The guys who did the EME DXpedition in Kenya last year packed all their antennas in ski bags. They said there were questions when they unloaded their "ski"s in Nairobi, but the airline went for it. D
