Sounds like it may be coming from the monitor - 25 khz is probably your sweep frequency. But I think the following will work, no matter where it is coming from: 1). See if the interference is coming

And be sure you don't get shavings into the computer when you are filing. It is a good idea to cover stuff up in the comnputer before you start filing. Metal shavings can raise havoc in the computer!
