Seem to remember a post somewhere on this quite a while back and, as I recall, the solvent used in Scotchkote is one of the nastier ones. Think the consensus was that it was simpler, safer, and cheap

The solvent is a mixture of acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, and toluene. They would have evaporated at different rates so even if you had access to all three, you probably would not regenerate the orig
