Just wondering if 2 different versions of writelog would cause problems communicating to have networked logging. One computer is a windows 7 and the other Windows XP, could this also be the problem.

Operating in the dark is at times required based on your schedule and number of grids you intend to activate. Some rovers are capable of run and gun approach with little on site set up / tear down.
