I don't see the point, but you'd be within the rules. :-) Since you can only operate "from" a single grid, then as long as you move at least 100 m and never stray from your 500-m circle, you'd be OK.
Isn't there a site that will ingest an ADIF and spit out a pretty map? _______________________________________________ VHFcontesting mailing list VHFcontesting@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.
Nice. Once caveat with a diplexer. I have a Comet CF-4160J (all SO-239, 2m/70 cm) to connect some old AEA IsoPoles to a single run of LMR400 to the radio room at N5UWY. These antennas never really wo
May be able to acquire an Elecraft XV222 transverter for a good price. Bearing in mind that I have exactly zero (0) experience with transverters, how difficult will this be to use with my 746Pro? I c
Commander is part of the DXLab Suite of programs. It would handle the display offset as Icom apparently doesn't see the need for that (did they on the S-band downconverter available for the IC910H?).
*Overall* I agree else I'd never have become a Lifer. There are many exceptions to that "overall", though, but one of them recently retired. :-) I'm willing to see what the new guy has to offer. -- P

Or not. Dave (the author) says it's non-trivial to add. :/ He did come up with a workaround, so if I actually get the thing, I'll have a way to integrate it into DXLab. Also - I appreciate all the of

Yagi, shamgi. I use my 80-40 trap dipole! :-D I did have a KB6KQ loop (and one for 2m as well - both for sale, BTW) but I found the wire was at least equivalent. Most of my 130 confirmed grids on 6 a
And be verbose, whoever answers. :-) I have recently purchased an IC-910H with the UX-910 and am looking at options for L band as well. Except that I'm in EM15if and not New England. Mountains are, I
Well, isn't that fun? http://g4hup.com/PAT.htm Looks like I could do the same on my recently-acquired IC-910H as well as my IC-746Pro ... Hmmm. I even already have the RTL-SDR dongle already. If you

Now that I have three things that use N connectors, I want to be able to pass cabling with Ns through the wood pass-thru panel at N5UWY. For UHF connected stuff it's pretty easy to find double-female
Of course. As it is, I'm "saving" a connector because I found out that A-D makes a Transitrap with Type Ns where one is female and the other male. For my HF stuff, it's PL-259 -> double SO-239 Transi

If I'm very lucky, I'll have antennas for 1296 and 222 by then, now that I have transmitters. :-) "A station in a specific grid locator may be contacted from the same location only once on each band,
Speaking of 222 ... I've managed to acquire an XV-222 and hope ... some day ... to actually have it installed at N5UWY. What is a good antenna for 222? I have an ancient Cushcraft (pre-MFJ) A148-10S

This is where I am - "works for me". I just bought an IC-910H (w/UX-910), not to mention the XV-222, so for household peace-keeping reasons, I need spend a little as possible on antennas. That goes a
