Yes and no... Here in the SF Bay Area I noticed an increase in FM activity but most of it was by known VHF contesters getting on hoping the FM "crowd" would join in... But maybe there is no FM crowd,

I dont think a move is likely with all the other contests out there. And I dont think a date change would have any affect out here in the SF Bay Area. There just is not much interest in VHF contests
