I've got one of the old FT290RII 2m all modes that I'm using as the IF on my transverters. With the SG Lab devices, I can select between RF sense switching and PTT switching, but I now have a DEMI 3c

Thanks for the responses! I got a few good ideas here. I'm not entirely certain why it never occurred to me to pull the Push To Talk signal off of the thing you push...to talk. Way easier than trying

That might be where being able to flip a switch would come in handy. If I'm reading the documentation right, the DEMI transverters prefer you don't use full- or semi-break in with CW anyway, so you'd

It seems like that method will work, just toss a switch in line for when you want to use CW to ground PTT for the duration. Wire it so that either the switch (or foot switch ) will ground ptt, or the

You could interrupt the PTT connection from the mic and just tape the mic button down. It's always on but you have it switched lower in the chain. _______________________________________________ VHFc

I kind of wish we used 902.1 in New England. With SG lab transverters and my ft290rii it'd eliminate a lot of knob turning. I was looking into switches on the jumpers, it's not a bad idea with all of

Hi Jarred, How do you handle sequencing just one of the transverters at a time? Do you have a separate sequencer for each, do you key them all at once, or do you switch each individual item in the ch

Unlimited allows the use of external power, antennas, etc. It also allows 3 or more operators. K1SIG/R ran as Unlimited in January, as we had 3 of us in the car. Technically, you could avoid putting

I enjoy some of the features on the SG Lab transverters. You can set jumpers to switch the LO, and output in a different part of the band (moving from the sideband portion of 33cm to the FM portion,

It depends where you plan to drive. I believe most semi trucks are 14', so definitely stay under there. We run with an 11' mast. You have to watch bridges. We avoid the Merritt Parkway in CT and such
