I'm finally getting around to repairing my old transverter. It's a DEM 432-28, the old 10 watt version. Anyway, the last time I went Roving it stopped transmitting. I'm pretty sure I hit it with too

I would think that the mixer is the first thing in line to be killed, unless you are running the low drive option where there is a mmic amp in the tx IF line then that might have died... Ray J W9RAY

Ray J, The best thing in the world to keep from over driving a transverter is to use the DEMI Tranverter Interface Board. I finally learned my leason and invested in the kit while at the SVHFS Confer

Yes, and if you want to use a TS-850 as a transverter IF, get Steve's TIB850. The rig is hard to tame as a transverter IF, but easy with that interface kit. AND you can still use the radio on HF! 73,

Hi Bill, Ironically, I was using a DEM TIB :-) I agree they make transverter interfacing a snap. However, you have to keep an eye on them as mine drifted up in power. Not surprising in a Rover enviro
