At the recent K7C expedition we used N1MM for logging and had problems with it. If you have experience with Writelog in a large M/M effort using networked laptops where the log grew really large, ple
We used N1MM at the recent K7C expedition. Here's what I found: In DXpedition mode N1MM worked just fine until the log started filling up. Then the CW keying became flakey. It was a little different
I've been using WL for years, and this is something new for me. Comfuser is a 2GHz thingamabob with 2 com ports and one LPT on the motherboard (one of the last available!) running W2K pro. I've used
Thanks to many folks who offered advice .. most of it excellent. Amazingly, the problem has healed itself. I had another problem that I didn't detail earlier because I thought it was unrelated. The n
John, your point is well taken. FD is an experimental play ground to find out what works and what doesn't. Obviously if you have network trouble in FD you wouldn't try it in a real emergency. But, if
Charlie, A test drive of N1MM is a good idea. Having done that, I can report that all is not Nirvana with N1MM either. I found the N1MM networking flawless (with 6 identical W2K laptops), and it has
I've been using this setup for a long time, but as I set up for IARU just now I see that LPT1 is greyed out in Setup/Ports. I use LPT1 for A/B rig focus and for CW. This has been working for years on

Let me see if I understand this... Enter a digit (0-9) would display all calls with that number that are IN THE LOG at this point .. right? Not a display of all unworked calls from SPC which is the n
I dunno . . . I guess you can justify almost anything if you try hard enough (Iraq anyone?). Playing with terminology (what is IS?) doesn't really matter. If a station is defined by a 500m circle (or
You've obviously been eating crackers again over the keyboard. Sorry, I just couldn't resist ... 73, Al AD6E Good morning, _______________________________________________ WriteLog mailing list WriteL
Zoli hit a sore point for me. I can no longer use WL due to the SO2R (lack of) support. For some reason, LPT1 does not show up in WL and therefore I cannot use SO2R. N1MM works fine. Although I don't
