Ken, K6LA/VY2TT suggested: Good idea, Ken. IMHO, using a "Hot Key" (pun intended) approach to all of this will always insure that user-options can be *instantly* changed or selected *during* a contes
One of my goals has always been to eventually make full callsign.wav files available to mute hams if desired. A novel idea just came to mind, which may appeal to those without high-quality recording
Especially in light of some new creative uses for SSB voice-keying .wav file combinations, I suggest the CW/RTTY/SSB messages dialog box/window be DOUBLED in width...or to Full Screen width...or made
FCVK Tip #2 - multiple full callsign.wav versions Now that WL provides for 20 SSB messages, I've been re-thinking options a bit here and offer a suggestion which I plan to do. For your own full calls
FCVK Tip #3 - Test First & Tricks This one should be a no brainer, but before investing a considerable amount of time pre-recording full callsign .wav files, do just a few of them and have a conteste

FYI, several NCCC members reported a problem during the NAQP SSB contest that the WL Operator Name Field would not accept "R2D2". I suggest modifying the syntax rules for this field to allow acceptan
Bill, WB6JJJ added: Good info, but it would be more efficient (IMHO) to NOT have to manually edit. Especially if one is "running" stations hot & heavy. 73... Rick, K6VVA ____________________________

Phil, W3GT wroe: "Upgrade" - "Upgrade" - "Upgrade" ... you'll have more F keys available for SSB. No changes necessary to the .ini file that I know of. Just be sure to set the location of your .wav f
Tnx to all who responded. For some bizarre reason, I had no COM ports showing under the [PORTS] section of the writelog.ini file (only two under the [RIGS] section). So I manual edited the .ini file
ARRRGGGHHH!!! Unless I have the wrong switch thrown here somewhere, the SSB message field lines will only accept 82 characters. For unique lengthy combinations of .wav files, I've run out of room ;-(
I checked the Tools/Keyboard Shortcuts and everything looks OK, but Shift + F keys won't play the .wav files. The regular (non-Shifted) SSB message files play fine. No need for on-the-fly recording h

Regarding ARRL SS (SSB) ... If I enter a call in the callsign field and press Enter, SSB Message F10 plays which is cool. But how to I get the cursor to then automatically go to the NR field so I'm Q

I'm bringing up the 82 character limitation issue again in the CW/RTTY/SSB Message area dialog box again for (IMHO) several important reasons. As the future will bring more unique uses of the expande
