I am using WriteLog and CW keying works fine. I am running XP for the OS but that should not be the problem (unless you try to use LPT for CW) so I will give you my setup. I would not try to use LPT

Be certain that you are running in LSB. That is the only mode that will work with WL and TTY and you have to set it up that way.

Yes that is true. I was confused with another program. Many do require LSB when using AFSK and many don't. Too many to keep up with I guess.

I see it is possible to use the same port for rig control and CW but you have to perform surgery on your cable. That is why I would not do it, but if you are short of ports, you can.
