Thanks Joe. Yes, I want to decode the Line Out signals from both K3 at all times. If I use WYH, then it decodes both audio streams as they come from the headphones (when I put the headphones into spl
Even when it is embarrassing, I have to admit my fault and give Joe his props. The line out cable from Radio 1 was not fully plugged into the connector. I thought I had checked it, but obviously not.
I think another option is to hold down Ctrl and use the mouse wheel. This just feels like something that should appear in a right click menu... _______________________________________________ WriteLo
I use a keyboard macro to set the '~' key to toggle headphone split. That is an easy key to reach on the keyboard and it is useful to be able to quickly shift between split and not. Randy, K5ZD _____
Open WL and a contest log. Go to Setup, Keyboard Shortcuts... In the dialog, enter Keyboard shortcut: GRAVE Select Command to run: RadioHeadphonesSplitToggle You probably got fooled because no one kn
I think I saw this for the first time during WAE RTTY last weekend. I had a number of times where WL stopped sending even though I didn't do anything that should have caused it to stop. And like you,
I am working the WPX contest using the call AK1W. My version of Writelog is licensed for K5ZD. This makes AK1W always highlight as a multiplier in the RttyRite window. I thought there was a way to te
Almost, but there is one more scoring rule. 3. Contacts between stations in the same country are worth 1 point regardless of band. Randy, K5ZD _______________________________________________ WriteLog
Your understanding of the MS band change counting for WPX is correct. Randy, K5ZD _______________________________________________ WriteLog mailing list WriteLog@contesting.com http://lists.contesting
I have been using WL since 1999 (not sure what version that was). My CW always defaults on start-up to the value that is in the first box of the second row of the CW Speeds Dialog. What device are yo
Excellent writeup-up Jeff. I especially enjoyed the link to W9DKB showing how to make a RTTY QSO using an old fashioned mechanical teletype machine. Computers have certainly changed RTTY! 73 Randy, K
This is more a function of Windows than WL. If you hold down a key in Word, you will get a repeating character. I am a bit surprised the F-key seems "sticky" if you let go (requiring the escape). Tha
It is my understanding that ARRL intends to permit FT8 QSOs to count during the 2019 ARRL RTTY Roundup in January. The ARRL web site still has the 2018 rules, so can't confirm this has been announced
I don't think so. WL only allows one port to be assigned for CW keying. _______________________________________________ WriteLog mailing list WriteLog@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailm
I had the same problem. Wayne confirmed it is a bug starting with version 12.33. Fix is coming. You never realize how much you rely on a feature until it is gone! Was a long weekend of being fast wit
You need to start by troubleshooting the rig communication. Everything else is a symptom of that. Check the ports and make sure you have the right radio on the right port with the right baud rate. __
AD1C just announced the new country file updates for CQ WW CW. I opened WL and followed the usual process for updating country files. It did it. But, when I type in VER to see the version, I get 2018
Never mind. Someone pointed out I was getting super check partial confused with country files. Embarrassed sigh. Good luck to all in the CQWW CW this weekend. Randy, K5ZD ____________________________
This is not a WL issue. It is a function of the operating system and how it handles keyboard inputs. See if you can find a way to disable it there. _______________________________________________ Wri
